Homefront Power Wash started the way a lot of good trade businesses do: two people who were tired of watching the job get done badly.

Chris Thomas and Dillon Bissell had both spent enough time around exterior cleaning to notice a pattern. Homeowners in Bellevue and Kirkland were paying real money for work that either didn’t last or actively damaged the surface it was supposed to clean. Roofs blasted with 3,500 PSI and stripped of their granules. Siding cleaned so aggressively the paint chalked within a season. Driveways left with tiger-striping from a wand held too close, too fast.

None of that is a knowledge problem. It’s a shortcut problem — and shortcuts are cheaper to sell.

“Power washing” undersells it. Most of what we do is closer to surface-specific exterior restoration, and the method changes completely depending on what we’re standing in front of:

The through-line is that each of those is a genuinely different job with different equipment, different chemistry, and different risk. Treating them as one service with a dial that goes up and down is how surfaces get ruined.

Why the Pacific Northwest Is Its Own Problem

We work exclusively in Western Washington, and that’s deliberate.

The Puget Sound region is one of the most aggressive environments for organic growth in the country. Thirty-seven-plus inches of annual rain, mild temperatures that never quite kill anything off, dense tree canopy holding moisture against north-facing surfaces, and marine humidity rolling in year-round. Moss, algae, lichen, and mildew don’t just survive here — they thrive on a schedule.

A crew trained in Phoenix has genuinely never dealt with lichen bonded into a cedar shake. A crew from Atlanta knows humidity but not this kind of persistent, low-light, cool-weather biological load. The chemistry, the dwell times, and the seasonal timing are all different here.

We respond within one business day. Every inquiry, including the ones that turn into “you don’t actually need this yet, call us in two years.” That happens more often than you’d guess, and telling you so is cheaper for us than an unhappy customer.

We’re licensed and insured, and we’ll show you. Washington State business license, liability coverage, workers’ comp. Ask any contractor for a certificate of insurance before they set foot on your property — if there’s hesitation, that’s your answer.

We’ve chosen not to build that. Partly because Chris and Dillon still work in the field and would have to look at it, and partly because in a market this connected, 150 five-star reviews is a more durable asset than a fast quarter.
